Wood: A Better Way to Build

We know that healthy markets are vital for woodland owners to be able to keep their forests healthy.

ATFS participated in a White House Rural Council symposium on March 18, 2014, led by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), to educate other federal agencies and the building community at large about the benefits of building with wood.  

USDA Secretary Vilsack said, “Building stronger markets for innovative new wood products supports sustainable forestry, helps buffer greenhouse gas emissions, and puts rural America at the forefront of an emerging industry.”
